Meetings
Our Annual Meeting is in early August, where members and spouses are invited to meet guests from regulatory agencies, other associations, academia, and retired members. Usually at a resort hotel near central New York, it features golf and entertainment along with meetings and guest speakers.
Each September, we have a
luncheon and tour at a
member's plant with
state legislators from that area. All members - food processors, wineries, warehouses, and suppliers are strongly encouraged to attend. This has been helpful to our members in gaining important contacts.
The Board meets quarterly (March, June, September, December).
Seminars are held on an "as needed"
basis, usually in the Rochester area. They are 3-6 hours and meals are included. Costs are minimal to members, but non-members pay a premium.
Our committees meet at various times structured to address industry problems such as the environment, labor, and legislation. Committees which meet at least annually include Finance, Nominating, and Convention. Other meetings and seminars may also be called as needed regarding legislation or other pressing issues.
